Belly Button Piercing Aftercare
One of the most important parts of the whole piercing procedure is the aftercare, because you will have to make everything possible to avoid any kind of infections that may occur in your belly button piercing. In most of the cases the piercing parlor will be able to instruct you, what you will have to do to make sure that your navel piercing healing process will be normal. If you spend some time searching the internet you will notice that there are a lot of websites, where you will be able to learn how to take care of your piercing.
In most of the cases you will have to use some kind of saline solution, which is not expensive at all, but it will help you to make the whole navel piercing healing process a lot faster. You will have to apply a small amount of that solution to the piercing and rub it with your hands. Remember that you will have to wash your hands every time, before you touch the area of your piercing, because there is a chance that you will carry a bacteria in it, which can cause navel piercing infection. Furthermore, you will have top dry the area of your piercing after you apply the saline solution, so a good idea is to use some cotton balls, because if you use a towel, which already has been used again there is a chance that you transfer some bacteria and cause an infection.
There are some other things that you will be able to use to clean the piercing. One of them is tea tree oil, which will help you to cool and heal your piercing faster, but remember that you should use only high quality oil, because in most of the cases there is distilled water in it, which will not be good for your piercing.
Remember that you should avoid using any kind of alcohol and hydrogen peroxide, because they will not help you to heal your piercing, but will make it more irritated. The reason for that is the fact that the alcohol will make your skin dried and the hydrogen peroxide will kill most of the white blood cells in the area of your piercing.
